New moon!!! 11/20/09

Okay, New Moon cam out this Friday, and was my home theatere the only one packed out?? I highly doubt it. I went to see it Saturday, hoping there would be less people, saddly I was wrong.
Anyway, I had a great time with my friends! The movie was definantly better than twilight, but since New Moon is one of the most depressing books ever the movie didnt wow me. But I bet Eclipse will be better since it was an AWSOME book.

Book Review #5 Mother-Daughter book club series

Okay, so very sorry I havent been posting. Ive been caught up in life and havent been getting much reading done. I dont think i have any fans yet :( kinda depressing.
So i finished the book Dear Pen Pal by Heather Vogal Fredrick, who is the author of the mother-daughter series.
Of course the first book is called Mother-Daughter book club. This is really the beginning of four friendships, of the four most unlikly girls. It talks about there struggles through life, secret crushes, and announced diaries. But still its a heart warming story. The first year the girls and there Mothers read " Little Women".
Much Ado about Anne, the sequel, the girls read the "Anne of green gables" series. Lifes going good, well except for the fact that Bekka Chadwick is joining! She is Megans best friend but also the rudest girl at school. To top it all off, Cassidys mother is dating again!
Dear Pen Pal, the third novel, is where they read Daddy-long-legs and other books by Jean Webster. With a suprising new twist- they each have to write a letter every month to there new Pen Pals in Wyoming. There is a BIG suprise in this one, lets just say I cant wait for you to meet Chloe!
I recommend this series for kids of any age, and moms too.

Book Review #4 - Hunger Games

Okay, its like huge all around my school. I wasn't actually interested in it, until my friend actually made me read it. I'll be the first to say that it is very difficult to get into, In the beginning its just...boring.
Though as you continue, you'll find suspense and action. If you like Sci-fi, again, you will enjoy this book. It takes place in the future, in a city called Panem. Panem has 12 districts, and each year a children 12-18 must enter. Each districts sends a girl and a boy to fight to the dath in an Arena in the capitol. Katniss, who is barely making it by, steps up when her sister Prim is chosen. She sacrifices herself for her sister.
This book totally caught me by surprise. I never expected what happened, and it is a little gruesome, so be careful. This book is written by Susan Collins, who has recently published catching fire the sequal.

Book Review #3- Dark Visions

Okay, back to fantasy. Ever heard of L.j. Smith? She is the author of not only the Vampire Diaries( Which I will soon be reading) But Night world and Dark visions.
Im here to tell you about Dark Visions, which I just recently finished. You first see yourself as Kaitlyn Fairchild, the local witch. Even though she isn't a witch, she is supposed to be one because of her strange prophetic drawings.
When she is invited to the Zete's institute for psychic teens, she meets Rob, who heels with his good energy. but torn between not only Rob but Gabriel, a psychic vampire, who drains your life energy.
But when all five of the teens are trapped in a psychic link, "Kaitlyn must decide whom to trust and whom to love."
A great read. It will captivate the reader and make you thirst for more.
So thanks goes out to L.j Smith and her reat writing skills.

Book Review #2- The Host

Okay since I first told you about Stephenie Meyer's wonderful Twilight saga, Im going to suggest you also read her first adult novel- The Host.
Another romance, except this one takes place in the future. The Sci-fi novel, brings you on a journey with Wanderer. A soul, whose race has taken over many planets, and now Earth. But Wanderer is in trouble, Melanie-her host- wills not to fade. Which forces Wanderer to fall in love with Jared, who is supposedly still human. Stephenie Meyer has amazed me yet agian, and I am pleased to announce that The Host will become a movie! I am also hoping that The Host will have a sequal.
So please read this book before you see the movie, even though I am not positive when it will becoming out.

Book review #1- The Twilight Saga

Of course in the beginning, I must start with the- I would say- most popular series at this time. Personally, I loved these books. Stephenie Meyer is a skilled and intelligent author who I hope to read more of. In this series she gives us fantasy, romance, suspense, all pact in one. Can it get any better? In the first book, Twilight, you think Bella & Edward, nothing can go wrong. When Bella meets this century old vampire, love falls. But in New Moon we are proved that Edward isn't perfect. After a summer of romance between him and Bella, an accident occurs on Bella's 18 birthday, and Edwrd see's his presence as a danger, so he packs up and leaves. "It will be as if I never exisisted..."
Bella goes into to a depression and relys on her friend Jacob. Jacob, who soon figures out hes come from a long line of werewolves and is one himself protects Bella from his enemys-Vampires.
But when Alice shows up and tells Bella Edwards in trouble, Bella has to choose.
Choices, which leads us to the dramatic Eclipse. Stuck in a love triangle between to adorable sweet guys, she has to make a choice- Whom she loves. Werewolf vs. Vampires. But when a vampire army comes to kill Bella, she is the only one who can form an aliance with two mortal enemys.

And last, Breaking Dawn. I have to say it took my breath away. Bella has chosen, Edward. After a beautiful wedding and romantic honeymoon, Bella comes home pregnant. It wouldn't have been suprising if Edward was human, but since hes a vampire, it was quite a suprise. Set-against destroying her beloved vampire child, Bella puts her life at risk to give birth to a child who might kill her. Her only chance to survive is to become a vampire, if they can change her in time....

Praise for the Twilight saga!
One of my personel favorites, teens and adults will definantly enjoy this series. I recomened it to all, and have to say that I myself am on Team Edward.
